Apollo Hospital & INOX Swabhumi begin Vaccination Drive for Employees of Smaller & Medium Organizations

Kolkata, June 10: Organisations who are coming forward to vaccinate their employees but do not have enough space to organise a Covid-19 vaccination drive at workplace have a reason to smile now. Apollo Multi Speciality Hospitals, Kolkata and INOX Swabhumi have come together to organise a 10- day COVID vaccination camp starting today, where the staff of many such organisations will receive their jabs. About 1,000 persons per day are expected to receive their doses of Covishield in this period.

Since the start of vaccination drive for the general population, various companies have been approaching private hospitals to carry out “on-site” vaccination drives. While such drives started taking place at larger organisations, there were cases where smaller and medium sized organisations did not have enough space to carry out the drives according to government protocols, which includes chalking out a waiting area, inoculation room and observation area. The vaccination drive launched today would help such organisations in inoculating their employees.

“We are committed to reaching out to the maximum number of people. We were aware of this latent need of smaller organisations who are approaching us for the vaccination of their employees and their families. We have partnered with INOX Swabhumi to address the same. We thank our partner INOX for providing us space for the drive. Together we will win,” said Rana Dasgupta, CEO, Eastern Region, Apollo Hospitals Group.

Amitava Guha Thakurta, Regional Director – East, INOX Leisure Ltd said, “Vaccination is the most decisive way to defeat COVID, and we are proud to offer our safe cinema spaces to this cause. Considering that vaccination requires a clean and hygienic environment for its effective administration, qualifying to host this drive is a recognition for our remarkable safety and hygiene standards. We are also sure that the pleasing and comfortable interiors will make the vaccination experience calming and comforting. We hope that maximum organisations in Kolkata make the best use of this drive.”

Organisations who want to vaccinate their employees through this initiative can get in touch with Somnath Bhattacharya, VP (Business development), Apollo Multi Speciality Hospitals, Kolkata on 8420106003.
