The 7th International Literary Conference started today at Dinhata Boys Recreation Club. Today's conference was inaugurated by Ananda Award winning writer Nalini Bera.

Prominent children's writer 'Upendrakishore Roychowdhury' award recipient Shri Ratanatnu Ghati, eminent play writer Ratan Chandra Ghosh, eminent poet and registrar of Jodhpur IIT Shri Pranaji Basak were also present as chief guests.  Bangaratna Anand Gopal Ghosh presided over the inaugural programme.

The two-day conference will be held today and tomorrow at the Boys Recreation Club's own auditorium. Through this conference, the Angikar Sahitya Puraskar (worth twenty thousand rupees) was handed over to Dr. Swapan Kumar Mandal, Professor, Department of Bangla, Purulia Sidho Kan Ho Birsa University.

Poet Shri Gautam Bhaduri will get BRC Award for Poetry, Biren Chanda, Editor of Uttar Dhwani Magazine will get Editorial Magazine, Prominent Journalist Smt. Anita Dutta will get BRC Award for Feature Writer and Smt.


Today's conference was attended by more than 150 writers and literary enthusiasts from different parts of the country.
