New Delhi, April 18 - “Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, water harvesting as well as water conservation has attained fresh impetus" said Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan


The nation will benefit from the research work on the issue of conservation of nature at the Centre for Narendra Modi Studies (CNMS), said Ram Bahadur Rai, President of the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA). He recalled the interest of former Prime Minister Chandrashekhar on this issue. He was presiding over the function to commemorate the 96th birth anniversary of Sh. Chandra Shekhar last evening. Under the joint aegis of the Centre for Narendra Modi  Studies and the Yuva Bharti Trust, a national seminar on the theme "Jal Hi Jeevan Hai" was held.

 
UP Minister Daya Shankar Singh said that the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh was doing exemplary work on water management and water conservation: Moreover, the state government was committed to provide water taps to each household in every village in accordance with the ambitious scheme of the PM “ Nal se Jal”.

While praising the Centre for Narendra Modi Studies (CNMS) and YBT, Environmentalist Dr. Sanjay Sherpuria said that along with the government, every citizen will have to think seriously about water conservation.

Speaker after speaker recalled the golden incidents in the life of former Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar.  told some important incidents in the life of former Prime Minister Shri Chandrashekhar ji.

On this occasion, YBT President PS Prasad, IIT Bombay Professor Raghava Verma, SPWD Chairman Col. Gautam Das ji also addressed the august gathering. Secretary of YBT, Prof. H.N. Sharma, while giving the welcome speech, described former Prime Minister Mr. Chandrashekhar as a man of the era.

Prof. Jasim Mohammad, Chairman of the Center for Narendra Modi Studies said in his introductory speech that the organization was engaged in research work for nation-building for the last several years and in the coming time, NaMo centres will be set up in every district of India with the cooperation of the citizens.

The greeting message of Shri Harivansh ji, Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha was read out. Journalists and persons working on water conservation were honoured by the Governor of Jharkhand by giving them Memento and Tulsi plants.

On this occasion, a book titled Water Management written by environmentalist Dr. Sanjay Sherpuria and a two-part book of Narendra Modi's radio address program "Mann Ki Baat" compiled by Prof. H.N. Sharma was released by Governor Shri CP Radhakrishnan.
