100th Mann Ki Baat Telecasted at the United Nations and Indian Missions, PM Modi Highlighted Local for Global

2nd May, New Delhi: On Sunday, Prime Minister Modi completed the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat. The PM’s radio programme has served as a platform for citizens to engage with PM Modi, highlighting about the various things that citizens across the country engage in, contributing to India’s development. Sunday was special given the programme completed 100 episodes. This special occasion was not only celebrated in India, but across several missions and embassies of India, around the globe.




Most of India’s missions live telecasted the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat and it wasn’t just in a few countries but across all global regions, be it Europe, Asia or Africa. Missions in France, Saudi Arabia, ASEAN, Paraguay and USA, among others hosted such sessions. Missions also hosted side events such as live quizzes, in Togo. Indian diaspora also were so interested in hearing PM Modi’s address that they travelled 12 hours before reaching Rajshahi in Bangladesh to hear him at the local Consulate.




Beyond this, the PM’s address was live telecasted and witnessed by UN members as well. The Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations tweeted, “A singular connect! Special moments from the Trusteeship Council at UN Headquarters, New York, where #MannKiAtBaat100 went LIVE, leaving all inspired and motivated.”




This Mann Ki Baat episode highlighted how India’s efforts have enabled local artisans to reach a global stage, citing Vijayshanti Devi’s example wherein her lotus fibre products are being exported to the United States, fulfilling India’s goals of ‘local for global’.
