World Record Holder Bhaskar Paul recognized as Pride of Sundarban


Mathematics Teacher Bhaskar Paul received 'Pride of Sundarban' award for his glorious contribution to the field of education and for his exceptional work in mathematics. Paul Film Production and Tiger News Bangla recognized him as 'Sundarban Gourab' with a certificate, signed by Member of Parliament Pratima Mondal and Member of Legislative Assembly Shyamal Mondal in a ceremony which was held in Canning on 28th January, 2024.

Bhaskar Paul is a mathematics teacher of Sukdoani Gabberia Dayal Chand Vidyapith (High School) in Sandeshkhali, Sundarban. He started his teaching career on 3 March in 2008. He achieved President of India award by winning All India Radio quiz contest in 2018. He was recognized as 'Dedicated Teacher' by Radio France International in 2022. He set a world record by writing mathematical numbers in 100 different scripts in 2023. His contribution to the spread of education in the remote areas of Sundarbans is undeniable.

Khelashri awardee swimmer Rabin Balde, Shiksha Ratna awardee Teacher Nimai Mali, Globe-Trotter Somen Debnath were also awarded in that program.
