Diwali with MY Bharat

To celebrate the 1st anniversary of MY Bharat Portal, the NSS Unit of Malda College has conducted "Diwali with MY Bharat Campaign ' with the theme "Yeh Diwali MY Bharat Wali".

NSS volunteers have participated in various activities. In the early morning they have conducted a cleaning drive in the Netaji Market of English Bazar Municipality in association with Malda Chamber of Commerce. After this they went to Malda Medical College and Hospital with the aim of Seva Se Siksha. They spent time with patients to feel them happy and volunteered in hospital activities.

Finally, they went to the Rathabari traffic more of English Bazar Municipality and helped in controlling traffic.

Rudranil Singha, a NSS volunteer said that 'to give a message of swachhata and sevabhab' we the volunteers dedicated our one full day to society and humanity.

The Programme Officer of NSS Unit Shri Mithun Ray said that to bring the youths (15-29 years) on a single platform and to enhance the skill of youths, Government of India has launched MY Bharat Portal. At present more than 1.5 crore youths are already registered in the portal.

Dr. Manas Kumar Baidya, principal of Malda College has appreciated and congratulated the NSS volunteers for their dedication towards society.
