Through years of dedicated modeling and professional perseverance, she has transitioned from a successful local talent to a global ambassador for Bangladesh. At present, she is commanding attention at the 74th Miss Universe competition in Thailand, representing her country with grace and determination.

Born and raised in Dhaka, Methila’s journey began with a solid educational foundation, having graduated in Media Studies and Journalism from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). However, her true passion lay in the world of fashion. She quickly established herself as a premier runway model, dominating the ramp for top designers and brands in Dhaka. Her potential was evident early on when she garnered international recognition at the 'Face of Asia' contest in South Korea and later secured the title of Miss Supranational Bangladesh in 2019.

Her path to the Miss Universe stage is a testament to her resilience and unwavering willpower. Methila had previously won the Miss Universe Bangladesh crown in 2020, but her dream of competing globally was shattered by the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent travel restrictions, which prevented her from attending the main event in the United States. Instead of giving up on her dream, she waited for the right moment. In 2025, she reclaimed the crown, proving her persistence, and finally secured her spot on the global stage in Thailand.

Beyond the runway, Methila has also demonstrated her versatility as an actress. She made a significant leap by debuting in Bollywood with the film Rohingya: People From Nowhere. Directed by Haider Khan, the film featured Methila in the lead role of 'Husne Ara,' where her performance was noted for its depth, proving she is a multi-dimensional artist rather than just a glamour icon.

Currently, at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant, Methila is not just a participant but a strong contender. She has generated significant buzz in the 'People’s Choice' voting rounds, consistently ranking among the top contestants globally, which reflects her immense popularity both at home and abroad. She has also utilized this platform to showcase Bangladeshi heritage, notably stunning the audience with traditional attire crafted from Muslin and Jamdani, thereby promoting the country's rich textile history to a global audience.
