Great Success of Nagarakata police, Approx 4 Crores Gold Recovered
last saturday, acting on a secret source information, Oc Nagrakata and his team detained one vehicle (four wheeler Tata ) bearing no - AS 01 DU 3189 at Batabari More under Nagrakata PS, Jalpaiguri, on NH 31 C , which was coming from Guwahati, Assam area via Birpara, Telipara, Sevoke road and destined at Siliguri area .
Total approx 8.297 Kgs of Gold in 02 packets were kept in hidden condition in the plastic like material . Approx value more than 4 Crores Seized the Gold like substance and vehicle in presence of witnesses.
Arrested accd persons-
(1) Santosh Gajage (21) S/O Dhanaji Gajege of Andhera West ,Puna Highway PS Andheri , Maharashtra .
2) Krishna Majumder (46) S/ O Aswani Majumder of Verbari ,Manabari PS Mathabhanga Dist Cooch Behar
3) Mantosh Biswas (35) S/ O Late Prafullah Biswas of Maligaon College gate PS Jhalokbari Dist Kamrup (Assam) driver of vehicle no AS 01 DU 3189 .
Jalpaiguri police said, During preliminary enquiry it could be learnt that accd persons are habitually dealt with stolen property. Preliminarily the gold has been verified by expert.
Maintaining all formalities and SOP, Nagrakata PS, Jalpaiguri case no- 102 /20 dt- 10.10.20 u/s 379/411/ 413/120 B IPC has been started.
