ICSSR Sponsored International Seminar at Siliguri B.Ed College

The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) is an autonomous body under the Central Government of India.Unprecedented advance in Science and Technology has caused major changes in the social structure. However, these changes can become beneficial to the human race only when high quality research takes place on the relevant issues.

With the full cooperation of the President, Smt Susmita Basu Maitra, all the members of the Governing Body, the Principal Dr. Bibhuti Bhusan Sarangi, and all the teaching and non-teaching staff,Siliguri B.Ed. College has organised an International Seminar on such a theme. The seminar has been approved and sponsored by the ICSSR . The theme of the seminar is: Collaboration between Advanced Technology and Education: Scope and Challenges.

Learned speakers include Prof Dr Vipin Sharma of the Department of English ofJazan University of Soudi Arabia, Former District Inspector of Schools of the Ministry of Govt of Bhutan , Sri Harka B Viswa, Eminent Professor and Researcher of the University of North Bengal and Former Vice Chancellor of the Alipurduar University, Dr Mahendra Nath Roy, Dr. Partha Sarathi Mukhopadhyay, Professor of the Department of Library and Information Science of Kalyani University, Dr Debjani Guha, Professor of the Department of Education of Kalyani University, Dr Prarthita Biswas, Principal of Jangipur College, and Dr. Savita Mishra , Principal of Vidyasagar College of Education.

Dr. Nita Mitra , Convener of the seminar, and Dr. Ratna Nandi, Co-Convener of the seminar informed that students and researchers of the country and abroad will participate in the seminar in offline and online mode. The International Seminar will be held on 5-6 July 2024 at Siliguri B.Ed. College.
