West Bengal Madhyamik Result 2025: Over 9.84 Lakh Students Await Scores
Kolkata, April 2025: The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) is set to declare the much-anticipated Madhyamik (Class 10) examination results for the 2024-25 academic year. According to sources, the results are expected to be announced on 2 May, 2025—just 70 days after the exam concluded, making it one of the fastest result releases in recent years.
However, the grand inauguration of the Jagannath Temple in Digha on the same day has raised speculation about a possible delay in the official announcement. Despite this uncertainty, Education Minister Bratya Basu has assured that both Madhyamik and Higher Secondary results will be released on time, reinforcing the state’s commitment to an efficient examination system.
Record-Breaking Participation
This year witnessed a remarkable surge in candidates, with a total of 9,84,894 students appearing for the Madhyamik exams—an increase of 62,000 compared to last year. The examinations were conducted from February 10 to February 22, 2025, across 2,683 exam centers statewide.
Historical Trends in Result Declaration
2024: Results were announced 81 days after the exams.
2023: Results came 76 days post-exam.
2025: If released on May 2, results will be out in just 70 days, marking a new efficiency standard for WBBSE.
