Avaada Foundation Signs MoU to Empower Rajasthan’s U-17 & U-19 Girls’ Cricket Teams
BIKANER/BADNU, 5th November 2025 — In a landmark move to promote rural sports and empower young female athletes, Avaada Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to sponsor the Under-17 and Under-19 girls’ cricket teams from Mahatma Gandhi Government School, Badnu, Rajasthan. The agreement ensures full financial support for the next two years, covering nutrition, transport, sports gear, and other essentials.
Having supported the teams for the past year, Avaada Foundation now deepens its commitment, allowing players to focus solely on their performance without financial constraints. The MoU was signed by the Foundation’s Director, the school’s management committee, and parents of the players—underscoring a shared vision for nurturing talent.
“India’s recent Women’s World Cup victory shows the power of opportunity,” said Mr. Vineet Mittal, Chairman of Avaada Group. “We’ve been investing in that belief, helping girls from rural Rajasthan rise, compete, and inspire future champions.”
Mrs. Ritu Patwari, Director of Avaada Foundation, added, “Sports is a powerful medium for empowerment. These girls have consistently excelled, and we’re proud to support their journey to national and international glory.”
The U-17 team, current state champions, will represent Rajasthan at the Nationals in Telangana in January 2026. Meanwhile, the U-19 team, state runners-up, will compete in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh. This sponsorship is expected to significantly boost rural sports infrastructure and visibility for women’s cricket in Rajasthan.
